10:00AM to 3:30 PM
This is a great way to motivate your erg workouts, shake off the rust and avoid cabin fever as we endure the winter and look toward spring and open water!
This event will follow a mini-CrashB format. In the Erg Challenge, individual rowers can compete for best individual times in youth, junior, open, masters and veteran categories (masters and veterans divided by decade) with medals awarded in each category. In the Erg ThROWdown, high school teams will compete in crews of eight, with medals and trophies awarded for the fastest boat using ergs electronically connected to provide a composite time.
Individual events will begin at 10:00 AM; the“best eight” competition will begin at noon.
The event is sponsored by Mystic River Rowing, Stonington High School and the Ocean Community YMCA.
